The role of women in this ummah

Re: The role of women in this ummah

Why aren't their scholars reminding the believing men of their roles in the Ummah?

Btw, it's not about extra paycheck, most career oriented women put that extra money towards their children education and other things. It's not that she is selfish, she is just amazing that she's a good mother and has a solid career. Most muslim women I know work because they have no choice, they need the extra money. This doesn't mean they are neglecting their children and husband. Why isn't the husband held responsible for the upbringing of children? It's not that he's incapable of doing so, he doesn't bother because he's just so macho...

The brother highlighted all these things you posted.

and all scholars talk about the role of men in the ummah... it's just that we're too busy digging up anti-islam websites we forget there are informative lectures out there.

Re: The role of women in this ummah

^ Post a video then. I still don't know what their role is.. I would really like to know.

Re: The role of women in this ummah

Part 1 of the series. You could listen to the other parts if you like it. Let me know your feedback as I have not heard it myself yet!

FAIL FAIL FAIL!!! None of this talks about specific role of men in the Ummah. Did you see the links yourself? I am not talking about women, forget about them. I want to see a scholar lecturing a bunch of men on how to be a good MUSLIM and husband. I want to see a scholar telling men not to feel inferior to women because men also do great deeds in Islam. It’s easy to lecture women because their role is too limited, that was precisely my point. Women feel limited when you tell them their entire role is to obey their husbands and raise good Muslim scholars.

On the other hand, Allah is so much more generous with men in terms of their role in society. As you mentioned, there’s a lot of talk to about, government, education, marriage, society, jihad etc, yet you can’t come up with one video that shows a scholar lecturing a crowd of men in the same fashion that these Islamic scholars lecture Muslim women to be women.

I KNOW the rights of women in Islam and how should be pious and all…I don’t want to see another man lecturing women on how to behave themselves.

Re: The role of women in this ummah

You couldn't have finished listening to all those lectures.. if you had (with good intention) you would know men are always the subject in ALL lectures. It's not my job to post links to lectures anyway, until and unless you have the yaqeen in Allah, you will never be at peace with anything.

Miss_Noland, this is not your religion, it's ALLAH's religion.

Re: The role of women in this ummah

^ Then there you go.... I told you I don't need to hear from men how women should behave themselves.

Islam so far is Muhammad's religion....

Re: The role of women in this ummah

I'm not going anywhere, you're the one going in circles. You have no base, until you build a strong base (yaqeen), you will not believe anything others will say no matter how much sense it makes, it will not make sense to you.

Re: The role of women in this ummah

^ You are right about that... I am starting to believe that the only belief system I need (to have peace) is Humanity and trust in God that does not promote injustice (multiple wives, concubines, and other immoral things for political gain).

Happy brainwashing....This thread is all yours.
