THE ROCKY TRACT

Re: THE ROCKY TRACT

.. Naabigh…I would agree that were alhamdolilah born into Islam , but as u get older … u begin to define ur own Islam .. yes there can be phases of philosophical questions like the one u pose..but the more u live and the more life experiences u gain.. one goes through trying to find answers and seek the path on which they tread … Islam doesnt become a blind faith then, in fact , it becomes a learned one… as ive gotton older:bummer:… alhamdolilah I can honestly say that I value and live my faith alhamdolilah so much better than I may have done when I was in my teens… then ur a sheep- u just follow the masses without conviction and without challenge.. its only when u grow older and inshallah wiser, that u begin to place logic , reason and evidence in context .. alhamdolilah but this is my very humble opinion:k:

Re: THE ROCKY TRACT

This is the question that led me to not becoming one, LOL! See, the majority of the responses are "Cause my parents are", and that's true. Most people follow the religion of their parents without even questioning it. Why is this guy Muslim/Christian/Hindu/Jew? Because of his parents!

You can easily fool yourself into believing whatever you wish to believe is right, but to claim that your religion is the one true religion is arrogant in my opinion. If there was a "true" religion, the whole world would be following that one true religion.

Re: THE ROCKY TRACT

Not necessarily true Unos. Allah made all these different religions for a reason. That purpose is to see who listens to him, who follows the teachings etc. Allah wanted these differences so that man could argue, so he could see how their 'religion' is the perfect one. As I quoted in my first post, I firmly believe in the Qu'ran and what its message is. Islam is the perfect religion for man. That's my own personal belief x

Re: THE ROCKY TRACT

Love Poppies answer.

Well to put it simply I am a Muslim becuase I was born into Islam Allhamdullilah.

However I am also an oddity in that yeah I did look at other religions... particularly Judaism, Christianity, Shamanism/Tengrism and most interesting of all Bhudism.

But for the record I thought Judaism and Tengrism were closest thing I could have settled for... really all the Religions tend to bang the same drum the tune is a bit different in each one though.

I am happy with the Islamic rythm... over 960 years ago my Forebears stood at the verge of destroying Islamic Civilisation and a good chunk of the World but for some reason the tide turned and they joined Islam and took it to new levels... The bloodthirsty conquerors became defenders of the weak... no other power on Earth had that effect ever... Christinaity worked Miracles and Judaism had it's glory but Islam is probably the greatest survivor of them all and so I like to take comfort from my Forebears wisdom and stick to the same path that they chose so long ago... :)

Re: THE ROCKY TRACT

I always question it. That's why, unfortunately, you will sometimes find me saying or thinking things 'politically incorrect in this matter' and maybe that's also why I don't do some farz. Surprising, because in general I'm a good follower of rules.

Re: THE ROCKY TRACT

When people say : I was born as a Muslim, and it is the best religion in the world.

If you have not read or evaluated any other religions - to claim Islam is the best, is childish.

Re: THE ROCKY TRACT

I was born into a Muslim family. I was lost for a while in my early 20's but then with a whole lot of exploration and thought and reaching out, I came back to it. It was growing up all over again. Never felt better. I'm not a model Muslim but I believe in the philosophy and reason of Islam and the love of Allah for His creation.
