Hinduisn should progress to make all its adherents as equal.. not by virtue of ones birth..
It has...scripture is for guidance not a monolithic legal code...it adapts to changing times from feudal societies to modern day.

Rohit my hindu bro even if someone paid me $1000 i wouldnt use the ganges water, i studied the medical sciences and that filthy water is suposed to have e.coli and stuff in it. I can climb mountains, i can parachute of a plane but i aint going near that rat infested water. As regards our caste system i notice many muslims always mock our system. I am a brahmin so why shouldnt brahmins be the top!! dont mock our religious caste system cos we dont mock urs.

The point people are trying to make is not that Brahmins shouldnt be at the top, but noone else should be prevented from reaching the top....

I dont know much about islam but what i do know is that people from africa or what hindus call untouchables are treated equally to white people in islam. Ive got muslim friends and if their is inequality then its due to pakistani culture. IN our religion hinduism, brahmins such as me are regarded as the top, the whiter you are the more high is ur status.
Regarding rvikzs point i think the system of slaves was only during wars but my muslim friends who are black said that during pilgrimage to mecca blacks are treated equally to whites. This is not what goes on in our hindu society back in india. The problem is that when ppl mock each others religion they misquote stuff and get very hot tempered as i can see from rvikzs quotes. I request restraint from all sides here.
Sometimes i do wonder why lord krishna made up the caste system and i do get quite upset abt it, i dont see the need for such a system. Maybe lord krishna knows best.

Your perceived superiority due to your caste is not religious based. It is a socio economic order. To be a brahmin is no great advantage in India. Being is hindu isn't one either....
I am a different brahmin compared to the others, i give money and shake hands with those who are regarded as untouchables by our religion. I think our scriptures should be modernised because our religion is like about 50000 yrs old...i think, well something like that. That aint true.."enlightened" could mean many things. Sprituality is based on structure and order, as well. Thats how most things make sense. For example..God..law..Buddhists, hindus have laws. Why is one spiritual? To seek truth..how is that not order?
There is a difference between parameters and laws. Parameters define ways of attaining enlightenment these are not laws ex....god can be anywhere in anything...God is within you..church is in your heart...love thy neighbor...
ok spirituality DOES NOT just come to u. Everything is law, and everything has a law. The planets, sychronization, even God is a law whether it is within or outside of u. There is a reason for everything. Even FREEDOM is a law
