You know why? There is no conflict of interest in the MQM over what to do with talib/lashkar types.
There is no conflict of interest? Taliban are keen on securing mines of emerald, gem-stones, dacoit-loot money in cities like Karachi, so is MQM interested in money from big corporations (remember tobacco demand of Rs 2 crore in early 90s?), bhatta from street etc. So there is big conflict of money with Taliban. For this reason MQM might have success, but why would you give a ethnic political party a federal agency status? That would be a disaster.
