Yeah Yazdi that is why everybody calls his AKP the Islamist party in Turkey. Seriously you guys just twist and turn reality to bend to your illusions. Even Q would be proud of your abilities.

A man who says “The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets, the minarets our bayonets and the faithful our soldiers…” during a political rally is by no means an Islamists.

A man who champions the cause of Hijab and Palestine is by no means an Islamist.

A man who says that Turkey is the Muslim country that can bridge the West with the true meaning of Islam is by no means an Islamist.

Every political analyst who works on Turkey and the AKP has stated that the grassroots power base of Erdogan is based in Islamic identity. He is a forward thinking leader. He is smart, resourceful and articulate. He is also an Islamist one whose wife wears a hijab at that.

Tell me one example from the one’s you have mentioned where he has forced the veil on someone. Where he has measured the beards. last time I visited Turkey 2/3 months back.. people were drinking wine in the restaurants, there were resorts in Bordrum/Antalya with topless beaches, and Istanbul had a vibrant nightlife.. without any protest from your Islamist Erdogan..

Rich Iranians come to Turkey to conduct their weddings because women can dress freely as they please unlike Iran. Turkey has become number one tourist destination for Russians who want to enjoy liberal beaches. All this is happening under the Islamist Erdogan..
