Recep Erdogan has played all his cards to perfection. At one hand Turkey still has more ties with Israel than any other muslim country, on teh otehr hand he has championed Palestinian issue and in the process expanded turkish business interests in middle east. In last few years turkish trade with middle east has increased from few billion to tens of billions of dollars. Turkish companies have won numerous contracts and are likely to get contracts in Egypt and Libya.

Thats a shrewed stateman and we do need one like him who can hold the stick from the middle.

It’s not only with Middle East but most of Iranian businessmen today live in Turkey and conduct their business in Iran from Turkey. Turkey has also become a doorway to all the eastern countries and Russia as far as trade is concerned. Turkey has maintained their business ties with EU also. In true sense Turkey today is a neutral country ready to do business with everyone including Iran, Russia, Europe, and middle east..
