It gives me the chills whenever i think of this movie. I saw it when it first came out in theaters, but other than that i couldn't watch it the second time.

But still to answer your question. They(mother and son) survived the wrath of dead-girl-walking-through-the-tv because she had made a copy of the orginal tape. Remember Rachel after the well incident says to Noah that the girl (samara) only wanted to be heard, that's all. So that's all, by making a copy of it more tapes would in circulation, hence more people would be able to hear her and learn of her tragedy. And with that you can also interpret that this movie is a copy of the japenese version

oh thanx for clearing it up. So that's why she was making her kid record the orginal tape at the end so he could be safe as well.
I like it. I thought it was pretty good and scary!

I agree with Ums, the original trilogy is fantastic and much better than the american version (although it is still pretty good in its own way)
I can't wait to watch it.
I am trying to get a hold on the japanese version.
what the difference between the japanese one and the English one?
one is in japanese language and other is in english.![]()
I saw it too yesterday night and boy was I scared! Between 2am and 7:30 am I woke up probably around 7 times with the movie in my mind and had crazy weird dreams when i slept in between. Why did the mother kill the girl? Why was the father hiding the tape? Why did he kill himself? I dont think I want to even hear about the japanese version let alone see it!
^ Thanks a lot FF for the film fatality report. Some of us haven’t seen it. Selfish broad! ![]()
If you aint seen it you ain't suppose to be in dis place honey bun.
p.s. BTW I doubt whatever I told can spoil the fun. Trust me.

FF, after I saw this movie, I couldn't sleep either. I was literally shaking with the covers pulled over my head....It was a very disturbing movie and I was in a state of 'fear' for a few weeks after viewing it!
Goodness Gracious. I had thought it would be over in a night. Yet the images kept coming back to my mind yesterday night too. Disturbing indeed.
