Re: The Religious versus the Non-Religious
I am not religious, she is. but it has not really been something that would create friction between us.
then again, my wife is from a little different lot. :)

Re: The Religious versus the Non-Religious
Problems mainly occurs when one of the two try to force other to follow his/her way. If thats not a case, then life is good.
BTW, this is true for pretty much any aspect of life and not only religion. For example If one is too social and other is not, same thing can happen etc etc.
Re: The Religious versus the Non-Religious
Yes it does cause friction. My wife is more religious than me, while its not a problem between us, when it comes to deciding issues about kids, it does cause friction.

There are > 5 billion people in this world. Not sure 100% conformity is such a great idea. If people are compatible in most aspects but differ in their religious views, more power to them.
Re: The Religious versus the Non-Religious
We don't seem to have an issue...he is more religious than me, he might tell me sometimes to read more on Islam...but we have not had any issues yet...
Congratulations on your marriage, Mrs. Khan! Wishing you both a long, healthy, prosperous and happily married life.
Re: The Religious versus the Non-Religious
I think we are roughly the same religious wise, but i feel i am more spiritually religious than him. It worries me sometimes, and id like to be able to help him feel closer to God.
