I have worn red, a deep yet bright red, dunno how to describe it :bummer: It was a matte lip colour from avon that came in a bottle which u dip the spongy tip in to and apply but it was totally matte. Really yummy red, I may even still have it. if i can find it i’ll put up the name.

I’ve decided I look really good in red lipstick :snooty:

But I don’t have the guts to pull it off. :bummer:

I especially like how it looks when wearing black, or some other neutral. I found some random brand of red lipstick and i find if I put a brown underneath it it gets the depth it needs for a hot look.

I LOVE red lippy, but don’t wear it it much during the summer, I like to stick to nude lipstick and pink lipgloss but when I do wear red lippy its a very nice change and feels fun and sexy too. My hubby prefers me more natural though but I can’t help it I love my make up and I like a variation as well!

The thing is it doesn’t look too red this lippy its more pinky red kind of colour but I have proper deep reds as well and they seem to look ok on me. I think orange red would look garish on me. I never tried it but I imagine it would look weird.

Dior.....i swear they know how to make lipsticks
i am slowly trying to move on from MAC....their shades can be so chalky
i wore this on my wedding day and it looked so good

I agree though, a little bit of mixing up is usually needed to get the right shade for our skins and yes it does look great with black! I've only worn it with complete black outfits too with the eyes played down of course. I must say red lipstick gives me a confidence boost :D

so...ill be trying 'violet tattoo' 6B01, mac Extreme, nars bloodwork, red lizard, jungle red and Mac Viva Glam I. my mission for the memorial day weekend.

sahar: i agree...red lipstick looks so hot on an all black outfit and with minimal eye makeup...just a little eyeliner maybe. soooo classic.

sweet: thats a cute pic of you....but yeah that is more like a hot pink than true red.

I only eva wore red lippy on my wedding day when i wore my red outfit. My make up artist used "Ruby woo" by MAC. I liked it but ive neva worn it again since.

thats daring. I've seen some people wear that color but they have yellow teeth so it ends up looking amazingly tacky.

There are 4 Viva Glam shades. I have the first one and it does look great ... if I may say so. :p However, it doesn't suit every complexion. My friend tried it on her and it looked just alright. It suited me more. I guess try out the 4 Viva Glam shades and see which one you like best. There's also Russian Red by MAC. That might be a bit too bright though.

^ I think ill try out that viva glam... if/wheN i wore red, I used my maybelline lipgloss so it ends up looking fuschia-y...I think red looks best matte instead of glossy

For my valima..i used lancomes "merlot" (its a brick red/maroon) and put red maybelline gloss over it...

This was a Loreal...# 330

I think this is the same thing.....
