Muslims are NOT allowed to wear gold in excess of a very miniscule weight/amount *. it’s enough for a small wedding band. i’ve seen Egyptian men wearing wedding rings. it’s rare in the subcontinent for men to wear the wedding ring…may be they don’t want perpective girls to know about it.

Is the allowable weight normalized as a pct of the persons weight? Or is there an absolute upper limit.*
