SID_NY, I moved your question here.

My favorite sehri food is a paratha with achaar.

My favorite iftari food are samosay, spring rolls, kababs.

Favorites: fruit chaat, cheese samosay, gol guppay

Sehri: Nothing in particular. I’ll eat roti with a leftover salan. Or toast/croissant with omelet or something. Sometimes a banana milkshake.

First couple of days I had paratha in sehri, the one in desi store, pretty much ready-made and all you need to do is warm it up. But then I felt heavy. From 3rd onwards i've tried croissants and it really helped. One thing that I always love to have in sehri is Yogurt i.e. Dahi. It really gives a cooling effect besides other advantages.

I open my iftar with Water mostly, although sometimes khajoor but usually i'm really thirsty. And then i look for fruit chat. If its not there, then any fruit available. Love to have water melon though.
I'm a big sucker for Rooh Afza in iftar. Specially if its mixed up with cold milk... yummy. Anyone tried that? Some I know take it in sehri as well

Other thoughts:

My job is one of the worst jobs to have when you're fasting. It is so easy to lose patience, especially when the ones on the receiving end of my annoyance have a frequent and deliberate disregard for rules. Those that work in an office or cubicle and come into little contact with other humans have a job that is more conducive to fasting. Those that get to chill at home have it even easier.

I clearly cant thank enough for remote work setup. It helps big time in Ramadan.

Although I always think its way better to be busy than sitting idle while fasting.

Shamelessly stealing the pic cuz i've the message to whoever took this.. just lmk when you doing it again, I'm gona book a flight right away to be there.. sigh

As my quest to enjoy yogurt of all kinds continue, I got Greek Yogurt from Chobani, strawberry flavored. Man it has given a new touch to my sehri. Having it with croissant is :shireen:

My weight always increases in Ramzan so the measurements for Eid dress have to always account for that. I don't have strong likes/dislikes when it comes to food so I give every food equal opportunity to be devoured. In sehri I'm often worried that I will starve by iftaar so I eat homemade parhata, fried egg, khajla pheni, leftovers from previous night's dinner and iftaar. And in iftaar I'm often worried that I will get sick due to fasting so, lassi or RohAfza or some other sweet drink along with choolay, phulki(pakoray), watermelon, and one or two other items.

How come no one talked about sleep in this month. It comes in chunks. 2 hours night and then 2 hours after sehri and somewhere in the day 2 hours only if its a lucky day

Whole day goes lethargic

Wait, you guys are able to catch some sleep?

During Ramadan I really mess my sleep cycle up. End up being completely burnt out by the end of it.

Ramzan mubarak to everyone except those who khaaeng mooli ke parathay in sehri hor fir ulta hoke soeng

Salmon kebabs would be wonderful, so high in proteins. So yummy also. I did Salmon kebab the other day for my roozoo warden.
Yesterday I made a ton of Shami and goat biryani
