someone once told me , if the wife is ready to give in every time , a man has a tendency to get bored of her, therefore its ok to refuse AKA dramatize sometimes to keep the man on his toes …

This is the most lame excuse I ever heard about this scenario.

Actually it could make the spouse more disappointed, feel rejected and hurt the relationship, unless there is a genuine reason and excuse.
