A desi groom might be able to pull this off and make it funny for the audience....more power to him. But a desi bride making such an entry would be scandalous, lol.
A friend of mine once told me that she had seen a bride....who wasn't acting as "sharmeeli" as she should have been....rather she was very eager to see the groom. So she hitched up her lehnga and went running ding ding ding down the stairs to meet him....much to the outrage of the guests. LOL.

haha.. recently, someone we know got married and at his mehndi, did an amazinggg dance with his brother and dad.. so cute.. and i danced while walking into my wedding.. it wasn't anything scandalous, my family, inlaws and friends were standing around clapping and cheering while my poor husband was all in shock.. hahah.. this video is giving me ideas to do something even crazier at the next one.. much to my husband's horror.

this was soo cute!!!!
its something the host and the guest will always remember. It wasnt ur usual calm normal walk -in. I personally liked it a lot. The guest looked really entertained too!
