The Promise of Paradise

The Promise of Paradise by Imam Husayn (as) to his mourners

Mulla Ali Qari in his book Mirqat Sharh Mishkaat from a narration by Imam Ahmed Ibn Hanbal quotes the words of Imam Husayn :as:

“Whosoever weeps and cries upon me remembering my pain and miseries, Allah shall Grant him Paradise”.

From Mirqat Sharh Mishkaat with reference to Tareekh - e - Ahmadi, Page 277, Printed in Kanpur

It is now abundantly clear from above that a single drop of tear is a certain guarantee of Paradise.

Re: A Study of Muhurrum Processions

wait…how does Mulla ali Qari or Ahmed Ibn Hanbal or Imam Husayn for that matter, guarntee paradise?

the above quote from Imam Hussain (ra) clearly seems to be fabricated....

if weeping and mourning on anyone was to guarantee anything, we wud see the ppl mourning an weeping for Muhammad (saw)....
but ppl knew it was not going to help, hence no one did such a thing, not even his family members and closest companions....

Re: A Study of Muhurrum Processions

our prophet(pbuh) was the last prophet and revelations are only sent to prophets, how could imam hussain possibly say that whoever cries for him will go to paradise? How does HE know? He definately was brave adn a great man, but he wasnt a prophet.

Re: A Study of Muhurrum Processions

^^

becuase paradise was his...

Re: A Study of Muhurrum Processions

No one could promise Jannah to any one. Even when Muhammad:saw: talked about Ashra Mubashra it was only after he was given an indictaion by Allah. I doubt Imam Hussayn ever uttered such words. This shows such a deep disrespect of Islam and Allah that I refuse to believe he said so.

Re: The Promise of Paradise

Who was Mullah Ali Qari anyway?

Re: The Promise of Paradise

Probably shias believe in this..but nothing othen 5 pillars of Islam can help people go to paradise unless Allah wishes.

Re: The Promise of Paradise

very well said !

Re: The Promise of Paradise

The thing in which I have and will always favour brothers/sisters who adhere to the sunni sect is their recognition that crying and mourning for someone's misery in hopes for gaining paradise is a futile effort.

This time can be utilized for something productive, including taking active measures to ensure no innocent person is wronged in any way... and especially abstaining from self mutilation.
