This one is esp. for Indian guppies on this board. President Kalam meeting Field Marshal Manekshaw. I was touched by the president’s gesture and not many people remember to do this. This is a great act by a great president for a great son of the country.
President A P J Kalam called on the ailing Field Marshal SHF J Manekshaw, MC at the Military Hospital,Wellington, near Ooty on Saturday.
Sam Manekshaw is one of only two Indian military officers to hold the highest rank of Field Marshal. In his celebrated career of four decades, Maneskshaw has fought in five wars, including World War II.
