Apart from day to day prayers that get answered by Allah (swt), personally, I have a couple of very significant examples where I was in desperate situations. Prayers worked like medicine. My consistency and belief powered my prayer, and Allah (swt) blessed us by answering me.
I continue to be steadfast in my prayer and more importantly in the faith I have that Allah blesses us in his time, when he thinks we are ready.
I feel that Salat ul Hajat has personally helped me in time of need in addition to specific dua’as.
Salat ul Hajat is a special prayer, consisting of 2 rakahs, for the accomplishment of a particular purpose or need. There is a Dua'a e Hajat that is to be read after the prayer:
La ilaha illa Allahu-Haleemu lkareem. Subhana Allahi rabi el-arshilazeem. Al-Hamdulilahi rabbi il-Alameen. As'aluka mujibati rahmatika, waaza'ima maghfiratika, wal-ismata min kuli dhanb, wal ghaneemata min kuli birr, was-salamata min kuli ithm. La tada li dhanban illa ghafartahu, wala hamman illa farajtahu, wala hajatan hiya laka ridan illa qadaytaha ya arhama ar-rahimeen.
for sharing… yes and Salat-ul-Haajat is what I turn to almost everytime i come across any stress… Allah SWT solves things in the most amazing ways! and the meaning of that Dua is hust perfect for whatever we are invoking for.
Just to add… I think the prayer at Tahajjut ke wakht is also very powerful as at that time Allah SWT comes down to the lowest level of Heaven and sees which of His bandey are worshipping Him!
Also, as it is natural for most ppl to turn to Allah SWT in times of need, we should also remember to turn to Him when He showers His blessings upon us… so in times when one is really really happy, I like to offer 2 rakats shukrana…
Thanks Niksik for such a beautiful thread.
Yes Allah is the Sameeul Hajat. He is Musabubul Asbab. He knows what is the best for us. Sometimes the prayers do not come true . It does not mean that Allah does not love us , it can be because of somewhere ,something is lacking on our part or it is not in our best interest. I am a firm believer in the power of prayers. Allah's mercy works in many mysterious ways. At times you will wonder how is it possible , but He makes it possible. Nothing is beyond his powers. So keep praying and if it does not come true then rest assured it was in your best interest that your prayer did not come true at that time.
There is no Deity but Allah most forbearing, Supreme in Honour. Glory be to Allah, Lord of the Great Throne. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Universe. O Allah! I seek of you the means of (deserving) your mercy, the means of (ascertaining) your forgiveness, the benifit from all virtues and the freedom from all sins. O Allah! Leave no mistake of mine without your forgiveness, nor stress without refief, nor any need of which you apporve without being fulfilled by you, O Most Merciful of the Merciful.
