The power of Ismailies in Pak

How much influence do ismailies have in the economy or other sectors in Pakistan? I know Agha Khan University and Agha Khan Hospital are of great quality in Karachi but I was wondering how much power they actually have in Pakistan.

Thanks

Re: The power of Ismailies in Pak

I heard Muhammed Ali Jinnah was also an Ismaili. Is that true?

Re: The power of Ismailies in Pak

I believe they are quite strong in pakistan that nobody fcuks with them in pakistan. I mean we have people making trouble for qadiyanis, sunis, shias, christians and hindus. But I don't know od any incident where Ismailis were persecuted.

Re: The power of Ismailies in Pak

Until Aga Khan community was working in a low profile without much publicity everything went fine. They established one of the best medical university, they made one of the best hospitals, they provided best welfare to the Ismaili people (No other community ever served their people like them), they provided best education to their people (if you wanna check chewck all the educational institutes in Karachi, Ismailis can be easily spotted), they got hold the gigantic bank of Pakistan.

Everything was goign fine until Shams Kassim Lakha started publicising the works of AGA Khan foundation and the foreign aid they were getting in numbers. That was the end of Lakha sahab's career as a servant of Aga KHan here in Pakistan. His publicising gave oppurtunities to JI to sling mud on Aga Khan community, the threat was so strong that Aga Khan community could have same treatment in Pakistan as Ahmadis got.

Re: The power of Ismailies in Pak

It was no hollow threat, it was real, explicit, vocal and backed up by gangs of Jamaat hounding Ismailis. There were many reasons behind this assault by those terrorist Jamaatis, they had clashed in Gilgit where agha khan has done tremendous work and they had taken initiatives in trying to reallign the education system in direct conflict of Ji imposed propaganda during the Zia era.

Just another example of JI national terrorism.....

Re: The power of Ismailies in Pak

Undoubtedly the contributions of Ismailies in Pakistan and Islamic History are praiseworthy. They established the oldest university in the world - Cairo's Al Azhar. The Aga Khan's contributions towards establishment of Pakistan. Their countless charity works!

Re: The power of Ismailies in Pak

they are a refined people and believe in doing rather than professing and avoid chewing bones of contention. Their contribution to the Pakistani society is indeed significant.

Re: The power of Ismailies in Pak

Despite all the good work they have done, all it would take is one fatwa from some mullah to turn all Ismailis into Ahmedis and then they will be persecuted like everyone else. That is just one more reason why secularism is the only answer for Pakistan. The hold of village bred mullahs on our society is not healthy or smart.

Re: The power of Ismailies in Pak

^ Is that really possible?

I have a friend who says that ismailies are so entrenched into Pakistan's identity and economy that no fatwa will ever pass that will declare them as non-muslims and eventually lead to their persecution.

Is this true?

Also, aside from Karachi and Northern areas where else are they found in high numbers?

Re: The power of Ismailies in Pak

Anything is possible if mullahs gain total control of Pakistan.

Re: The power of Ismailies in Pak

Theres actually a pretty big Imsaili community in Islamabad, and are usually, well to do. alot of them have jobs in private business, IT sector etc.

Re: The power of Ismailies in Pak

Yes secularism is the solution for all Pakistan problems with religious freedom to everyone without disturbing other's lives.

Re: The power of Ismailies in Pak

That was Jinnah's vision, but as we can see, Pakistan has drifted far, far from the great man's vision

Re: The power of Ismailies in Pak

Yeah they also gave us the likes of Hasan bin Sabah and his assassins cult's fitna...

Re: The power of Ismailies in Pak

Altaf bhai just issued a statement that the reason behind his getting fat, dark and ugly by the day is a diabolical potion secretly sneaked into pir altaf's London compound by Jamaat's secret agents and mixed into his food...

Re: The power of Ismailies in Pak

Altaf Bhai plunged Karachi into darkness! We lost 20 years of developement!
He destroyed Karachi's education, industry, culture, etc and what not! He is the number one enemy of Karachi and Sindh.

Re: The power of Ismailies in Pak

If terrorist organizaiton like Jamaat-e-Islami come into power, they can change it.

Pakistan's nuclear assets are a liability until the Jamaat is brought to heel.

US must intervene in controlling the Jamaat.

Re: The power of Ismailies in Pak

we lost 20 years of development because of our infatuation with Jihad, wahabism, klashinkof and drugs. Its amazing how ppl forget or do not even bother to find the real reasons and go for the state sponsored propaganda, why blame Americans for believing what tehir lying govt tells them when our state has done such a terrific job.

Karachi education was destroyed the day Bhutto imposed a quota system between rural and urban sindhis which was extended for 20yrs by zia-ul-p**** with JI connivance.

We lost 20yrs of development when Bhutto the genius (hahahahah) decided to nationalize industries, banks and private institutions leading to chaos, institutional meltdown, corruption, nepotism and ofcourse destroying ny chance of development.

Add to that our JI sponsored state indoctrination where generation after generation has been brainwashed into believing Pakistan was created by Mawdudi and not Jinnah (sarcasm). Meaning, Jinnah's Pakistan was hijacked and turned into a ugly monster dreamnt by JI fundos. God have mercy on Jinnah who must be rolling over in his grave for this is not what he wanted.

Justice Muneer asked Mawdudi what if India was to impose Hinduism what wud happen to the muslims of India? His reply, it did not bother him if muslims of India were turned into shudras, discriminated or converted, all he cared about was his personal agenda, it was this malafide, narrowminded interest which compelled him to oppose Jinnah's Pakistan, thus the hostility towards minorities.

We live in country full of propaganda, lies, deciets, sectarianism, bigotry, nepotism, corruption, racism and continued hostilities towards smaller provinces and minorities...all under the cloak of religion as sponsored by wahabi jamaatis funded by their Saudi godfathers.

Re: The power of Ismailies in Pak

FG- your 'selective' memeory is truly amazing, I wonder if you have lived in Karachi during the MQM rampage's, sure doesn't seem like it.

If you did, I'm sure you had a 'I love Iltaf' card in your pocket
