The poke thing on Facebook…what do you do with it? And what does it mean when you get poked by someone? What message are they trying to deliver? Should I poke them back?
Re: The Poke Button
I think its just like muhalle ke shareer bache ghar ki ghanti baja ke bhaag gae ![]()
Re: The Poke Button
If you poke and they poke back you can see their profile even if you aren't friends I think. Although no one pokes anymore!
how about when you get a poke from someone you are already friends with? I myself am still clueless what the heck poke means.
Re: The Poke Button
It has no meaning.

Keep in mind that FB began as a platform for university, and later, high school students to interact with, and hit on each other. Hence the Poke button.
I fit in the above demographic when FB first became popular, and the Poke button was used more often. Nowadays, I don’t think anyone uses it.

The cake is a lie.
Re: The Poke Button
I'm kinda scared. Few days ago, on fb, I logged in and I was notified that " an Indian guy who works in NHS has just poked you, poke back". I was creeped out coz I don't know this guy and he might be a creeper and might have all my details through NHS' data. He might be a pedo (desis are rarely pedos) or might just want frandship but he might have access to all my personal details on NHS. With recent news of kids getting taken from their front yards I'm totally freaked out so I have deactivated my account...I might delete it...don't know yet.
