ok now i get three kinds of onions here.. purple golden and white :konfused:

which is the best for cooking purposes :konfused:

which one is for salads and watever ..

whats the difference between them

You can use all for cooking, but I would use the cheapest for cooking

I use red for salads(raw) and baking because they have the mildest sweetest flavour and look nice.

golden for cooking

and very rarely use white because they are more expensive (where I am ) in comparison to the others and a harsher/stronger in taste than others when raw...... and I dont think that using them would give me anymore benefits than using the golden type.

Love the white - huge spanish onions.. yum.
red onions are yummy for salad
