The person who stood against VIP culture lost his job - FIR against him [Uupdated]

Re: The person who stood against VIP culture lost his job

The way Mr Arjmand is speaking about this issue on the media, he should seriously consider leading an anti VIP culture campaign in Pakistan. He seems to have the courage and the confidence to do so. Listening to his interviews, you can tell he genuinely feels quite strongly against the VIP culture.

To be honest, the way he dislodged those MNAs was very brave indeed.

Re: The person who stood against VIP culture lost his job

Gerrys saying that it is against VIP culture and appreciates Mr Arjumand actions.
However he has not sacked for his actions but his lack of job performance and his tarnishing the image and reputation of Gerrys.

Basically it means that they fired him for either misconduct or his failure to achieve targets.

Hashwani was a senetor and has ties with both status-quo parties. What else you expect.

These elites think the people of Pakistan are fool. Its 21st century and it will not work anymore. Qom ki aankho mein dhool jhonk ke samjhte hain aik statement se sub saaf hojayega.

Status-quo is taking last breathes in Pakistan.

NA body for enforcing ‘respect’ of parliamentarians

The National Assembly Standing Committee on Rules and Procedure and Privileges has taken suo motu notice of MNA Ramesh Kumar’s off loading from a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane, directing the airlines company to take strict action against those responsible.

The committee also expressed resentment over public misbehaviour with Senator Rehman Malik.

The committee, in its meeting Thursday, demanded that special counters be established at all airports for arrival and departure of members of the Parliament. It also sought a report from Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and PIA about action taken in the matter.

The meeting chaired by PML-N MNA Asadur Rehman regretted that the government did not take care of its MNAs while the PPP prime ministers had always taken care of their parliamentarians. He called for fixing bureaucracy so as to ensure respect for the parliamentarians. He also criticised Punjab governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar.

Later talking to journalists, Rehman said that MQM chief Altaf Hussain talks of making Chaudhry Sarwar prime minister of the country but he could not win an election in his constituency.

Re: The person who stood against VIP culture lost his job

Ok so here is the latest update about Arjumand Hussain. Right after he challenged the VIPs and there was a storm in media against them, they waited till the dust got settled. And now when its all thanda-thanda, the VIPs are back with their vengeance tactics.

Probably they want to make him an example for others who dream about challenging status quo:

**NATIONAL ASSEMBLY STANDING COMMITTEE HAS LODGED AN FIR AGAINST ARJUMAND HUSSAIN FOR ‘BREACHING’ MNA PRIVILEGES.**Seven months after passengers on Pakistan International Airlines flight 370 mutinied against VIPs for abusing their privilege and delaying the flight by over 30 minutes, a National Assembly committee has lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against Arjumand Hussain for “creating public disorder.”
Cellphone videos of the anti-VIP protest on PIA’s Sept. 15 Karachi-to-Islamabad flight—featuring Hussain and a diverse group of dissenting passengers—went viral last year, inspiring an anti-VIP movement in Pakistan and neighboring India. The flight was initially delayed due to a technical fault, and incurred another 25-minute delay due to the late arrival of former interior minister Rehman Malik. Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankhwani, a Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) lawmaker, was also tardy and forced to disembark prior to takeoff.
Shortly after the video was released online, Hussain was laid off as a general manager at Gerry’s Group, a logistics company, amid speculation that the decision had been politically motivated. Since his dismissal, Hussain has been hosting Aam Aadmi (The Common Man) on Samaa TV.
Hussain told Newsweek he was unable to comment, as the case is currently sub judice. However, he confirmed the National Assembly Standing Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privileges had lodged an FIR against him.
Chaudhry Asadur Rehman, chairman of the 22-member committee, defended the decision, claiming action had to be taken against “anyone who breaches” the privileges granted to an MNA. “He [Hussain] delayed the takeoff by 15 minutes and he offended our leaders. The committee elected to properly investigate the matter,” he added.
Hussain’s so-called “breach” was widely supported across Pakistan, bringing to the fore the country’s disdain for the undue privilege accorded to ‘VIPs’. Shortly after reports of the FIR went public, Pakistanis protested the decision on social media using the hashtag #WeStandWithArjumandHussain. Sen. Rehman Malik also took pains to clarify he had no part in the FIR to avoid the public backlash. “Pl. [sic] stop misreporting/do not attribute the FIR to me as this latest action agst [sic] Arjmand [sic] is by NA. Please verify before tweeting/reporting.”
The plaintiff of the FIR, PIA Station Manager Baqir Noorani, refused to comment when contacted by
Newsweek.

Dr. Vankhwanvi, however, told Newsweek the FIR was justly deserved. “He wronged me. I should’ve been the plaintiff but I let him go,” he said. The lawmaker, however, dismissed rumors that the government was pressuring police to take action against Hussain. “If government pressure was behind this, the FIR would have been lodged the first day,” he said.
