A patriotic sardarji was walking and saw the tricolour fluttering. He promptly stopped in his tracks and saluted the flag.
A passer-by saw him and asked him: “Why do you salute this flag? It has got saffron for the Hindus, green for the Muslims and white for the others. There is nothing for the Sikhs.”.
The sardar Replied
“Oee eh Danda tere Pyao da hai!”
(whose pole do you think that is)

The saffron represents courage, sacrifice, patriotism, and renunciation. It is also the color of the Hindu people.
The green stands for faith, fertility and the land; it is the color of the Islam religion.
The white is in the center, symoblizing the hope for unity and peace.
