I went for some chinese food with a freind its this new halal chinese place thats opened in the city center. so we had no idea how it worked its like a buffet style. so my freind was about to call the waiter over who was this slightly big chinese fellow.
and my freind called him " oye motte" and the chinese dude came running over

If it was a Hakka Chinese place, then there's a fair chance that the person knew Urdu or Hindi... I've been to a couple of Halal Chinese restaurants where the staff speaks near fluent Urdu/Hindi.

A lot of Chinese people are so good with languages, when i was in school i knew a group of Chinese people who could understand Urdu, and Punjabi :o - no Desi could make fun of them because of that while they kept on poking jokes at whomever they wanted in their own language.
