I think our people are all pakistani people.
Thank you for rest of the part.

Re: Foundation of MQM
just notice the parts of the posts I edited out. I removed the meaningless, useless name calling like "bhangi" and "chooran wala". in another thread I removed molana "fuzzylulla". you can talk and communicate in the language you usually talk and communicate in, without this stuff.
Bhai I don't have problem you removing words lik choran wala.
But I do have serious problem when you mention ethnicity thingy.
Aren't we all pakistanis?????
Re: Foundation of MQM
knockout_artist we're all asians too, we're also all human. being part of one group does not mean you're not part of another.
all muhajirs are by definition Pakistanies. just as all punjabies this side of the border are pakistanies, but they also have a Punjabi identity.
you dont have to eliminate variation to be united.
Re: Foundation of MQM
heheh
you did make a mistake.
Our people doesn't sound right.
Please edit you post.
Do the right thing.
Re: Foundation of MQM
i disagree with you. i think one reason why Pakistan has ethnic issues is because we think you can only be loyal to one identity.
Re: Foundation of MQM
you contradict yourself. earlier you said:
Now if there was no need to create Pakistan or Pakistan shouldnt have been created, why did come to Pakistan? Are in the wrong place? What was the dream which came for, that we would one day be able to say "This country is the greatest mistake in the history of the world?". Kindof a sucky dream.
Secondly, if you say that the logical end of Pakistan is its disintegration, then can you explain what prosperity of Pakistan MQM is working towards?

Re: Foundation of MQM
haha.. ok thanks for the moderating. and now we can split the thread cause we're off topic.
i think this is a topic in its own right. i often hear "Kia muhajir, we're all Pakistanies", which I think is a wrong way of thinking. when the two identities start conflicting with each other you should work to address those conflicts instead of glossing over them and force people to pick an identity.
when you say you should just be Pakistani you're asking Muhajirs to just be Pakistani in a world where "Punjabi", "Pashtun", "Baloch", "Sindhi" all exist as first-class identities.
You shouldnt have to either be Muhajir or be Pakistani, you should proudly be both.
The exact same arguments apply to being Pakistani and Muslim, btw.

Oh it felt good.
I was from sindh I would call my self sindhi like mush does.
Moderation is good. Being too much into some thing creates a situation, which smart/power full people can exploit. In case of karach zia-altaf.
In case of rich and poor bhuto exploited the situation for his own benefit.

Lets take a tougher example. What would you like people from NWFP to call themselves? NWFPites? How would your answer vary between people from Hazara and from Attock?
If you think Pashtun/Pathan is an identity, then you acknowledge the existence of identities beyond the names of provinces. And if those identities exist then so does the ethnic Sindhi (not related to living in the province of Sindhi, there are Sindhies in Punjab and India), as does the identity of Muhajirs.

Then object to that exploitation. Bin Laden exploits the Muslim identity too, as do the religious terrorists in Waziristan. We do not disavow our identities, or moderate our allegiance even, to counter that.

I feel like editing you post again. Not because some thing wrong with it.
But it just feel good.
All pashtun/punjabi are not the same race either. So when they start speaking same language over the time they had this identity thingie.

if in time the same happens to those living in Sindh and in Pakistan then I'd be happy with whatever that identity is too.
has to come organically though, not artificially imposed
