One More Tomorrow
This person who walks with me,
sharing my shadow, is not my friend
The end of his journey is a sunset,
and far away, in another tomorrow
a sunset awaits my arrival.
This person who walks with me is a stranger
It is trapped in the whirlpool of one age
and my storm is sitting far away from this shore
awaiting my arrival in another tomorrow
Every road on this strange journey
gives me a new face with every sunrise,
I shed a day from my host of masks,
and walk forward, alone towards a tomorrow
I am trapped in this dilemma of faces,
and break apart every second
to be made again in another
Every mirror is a new reflection of my face,
I search for my face in this host of strangers
Perhaps I’ll find it in another tomorrow
