That is the one thing that the PPP and Zardari can leave as a lasting legacy. A solid tax system which is followed to the letter to ensure that people and companies pay their taxes.
That alone will leave a legacy for centuries to come.
The 18th amendment seems to be a rather heavy straw in their hat aswell… I mean, if implemented and followed up on, it could sow the seeds for a lasting harmony between the provinces for years to come. The Tax issue however would go a long way in helping the country no doubt, but it seems less likely considering many of the beneficiaries of not paying taxes happen to be the same people that are entrusted with reforming the system.
