femme: its the "deer in headlights" look they have in every photo that irks me so much.
koolkomal the other girl is the famous afghani girl that was on the cover of national geographic and is very famous for her haunting eyes.

And have you watched the interesting documentary on NG about two years ago which showed the photographer tracing his own footsteps from the 80s trying to locate the girl and he eventually found her, she was in her 30s, married, with kids.
