Whatever happened to the good old chat on GS? I found it to be a great feature because you would log on once in a while and find people there, some new faces and some old classics and it was probably the only way you’d communicate with them. It was a great meet n greet place. Is it a hard function to add to this site? If possible, I think it would be a great addition…
I also noticed there were some efforts to put chat back on GS but it was never the same with different fancy graphical displays and features, but it just never worked the same and no one really used it for some reason…
What do you guys think?? I definitely enjoyed the chats when it was a full room and you actually knew people as well… Doubt if I’d know most people now. GS chat was good! and I guess a good networking tool as well… and we all know we’ve got some well accomplished people on GS and the chat can be a good way of interacting and getting in touch with your peers and cyber mentors for advice, a bit of a catch up, or plain gupshup. Its also such an international place with people from all over the world.. and its always interesting to see what everyone has to say.
another boring place to be www.alldost.com ..basically alldost is the brother of Gupshup ...... where again .. the chat rooms are most of the time empty and everyone is focussed on GS here posting ...
I think its actually a good idea to bring this back as the thread opener said its a great way to get to know ppl and share their thoughts alot quicker ....
I actually joined GS .. cos of a chat room on another forum .. some may know it by Pakfellows.com ... and i met someone their and they told me about Gs and checking it out .. and they themselves is also a member here ... and here i am till today .... that ever since i found out about this place i stuck to it ......so it was through a chat room that i got to know some of youz here otherwise whod have know GS existed ... unless i came across it by chance ....

Gizzy, whats the reason for not having a chat on GS? I mean is it too hard? or puts too much pressure on the bandwidth resources? Going to a chat on some other site isnt the same as having it right here,,, clicking on the button and bang, ur in.
GS chat was an amazing place. i think it was one place where ppl get a chance to interact with others that they would otherwise not talk because of different interests, I made some good pals in chat who posted in completely diff sections of GS and thus we never got a chance to interact.
I do believe that having a GS chat feature has enough merit for it to be seriously considered.
