I cant remember the name of the book but the author is Dr. Bilal Philip. His book deals with the 'mumerology' and its usage. I think you should read it for better understanding.
However, as far as I know the science of numbers dates back to jews and it is a innovation in Islam. It has no significance. Dont believe such things.
And in the thread of 'jinns/chorails' I've given the link of an audio lecture listen to that. It will help you alot.
Dr. Phillips doesn't have a book on numerology i don't think, other than one refuting the false "number 19" theory.
Perhaps this has something to do with the hadith about jannah having eight gates?
I never came across the number 8 concept...... Its strange that the website has that explanation. I will look it up inshaALlah. Maybe it has something to do with the Sufi way of thinking. ...Just a guess.
