this thread wasnt meant to be a downer or a call to refrain from celebrating the 14th … it was a call for us to rise up and save our country before its too late.

the point was to say that its high time we stop moaning and groaning and pointing fingers and get up off our behinds and do something to bring about the change that we want for this country

the point was our country is not free and it is in decline…we have to wake up and realize our country has all the potential to be much much much better than this…but it will never realize its potential until WE do something

I agree that just by saying we love our country and long live Pakistan, it holds no weight, if we are actually not contributing anything back to our country. complaining 24/7 is very easy to do, but actually going out of your way to do something for your homeland is something which is seriously lacking. However, having said, on the brighter side, its not like nobody is actually trying to make a difference, we have brilliant sincere Pakistanis who are actually bringing laurels to our country, their stories are inspirational, they should be our heroes, if they can do it, why not us?
