This is part 2 of: How old were you when you started wearing makeup.
Most of us started wearing makeup in our teens, many though didn’t start till their early 20’s. Since times have changed drastically and personal appearance means a lot more now than it did say 20 years ago…
At what age will you allow your daughter to:
A) Start wearing make up.
B) Use hair straightners/curlers.
C) Get her ears pierced.
D) Dye her hair.
E) Get her eyebrows/upperlip done.

Re: The next generation of Guppans.
i got her ears pierced when she was 3 months old. she doesn't need straightners. make-up tu main usay akser abhi bhi ker deti hoon esp if he asks like gloss, light shadow. she's just 6. haan proper make-up n hair dye she can do in her late teens around 17-18. however i'll get her upper lips waxed in her pre-teens , keep eye brows neat not made up etc . i don't want her to all dolled up or do wierd fashions but i'm not really strict to keep her away from being a lil fashionable even at young age.
Re: The next generation of Guppans.
Thanks for your reply :)
A) Start wearing make up: 16 (minimal and only on special occasions). After she's 18 and in college, I don't care.
B) Use hair straightners/curlers: 16
C) Get her ears pierced: doesn't matter. I'll get her ears pierced when she's a baby.
D) Dye her hair: 18
E) Get her eyebrows/upperlip done: 15 (it really depends on when they need dire attention, so maybe even younger).
Re: The next generation of Guppans.
Was more interested in makeup at 15, especially lipsticks and eyeliner. At the time Body Shop came out with this matte brown lipstick called Driftwood 02. Best brown ever. The discontinued it. And from then onward.....I haven't been able to find the perfect matte brown lipstick. If any of you have recommendations, do share.
If it were my own daughter....
Makeup.....I wouldn't allow her until high school (maybe 16 and up).
Straighteners/curlers.......14 and up ****It takes time and that's a draw back especially if it interfers with getting ready for school on time. Another would be frying hair.
Ears pierced: might do if when she's a baby and get it over wit. It got mine done at 6-7.
Dying hair.....I've had enough experience with this to encourage her never to do it. But.....if she persists.......high school age (16/17 and up).
Eyebrows/upper lip (15/16. Can also depend on the amount and thickness of hair)
hmm this is interesting...why are most parents into getting their daughters' ears pierced at a realllllly young age? just so they forget the pain of it or to make sure ppl know they are girls? lol. i mean, wouldn't it be nicer to let them grow up and at whatever age they start wanting to wear earings you can let them git ear piercings. i'm sure they'll be willing to tolerate the pain to fit in or look pretty just like we all tolerate so many other pains throughout life for beauty (think waxing, plucking, high heels, nose piercings)
