The New Theme ...

I have been to many Religion “message boards” and have always found one basic theme, and that is “sectarian rivalries”. Which to me is kinda depressant and that’s one of the reasons why I have avoided posting here too.

Though I must say that this site has been the best I have seen yet. So I am going to give it a try …

“The New Theme” as I like to call it, has the basic idea that our religion, Islam, has much more to offer! Quran is The Word of Allah and has tremendous amount of knowledge and beautiful things! Hazrat Muhammad’s (saw) life is the purest and the best way to spend one’s life, and the perfect role model! So, lets talk about Quran and Hazoor (saw) rather than our bitter differences.

The format of “The new Theme”, as I like to call it, can be: (just some suggestions)

  1. Someone starts a post by quoting an Ayyait from Quran about a certain topic. For example, An Ayyait on being nice to parents.

  2. The others Guppies post the supporting Ayyaiahs from Quran, Hathias, or something from the traditions of the Holy Prophet (saw)

  3. Our non-Muslim friends are not only welcome to share quotes from their Holy Books, (Bible, Geeta, Writings of Buddha, etc.) but also will be encouraged!!

  4. Personal comments will be kept to the minimum and not targeted against other posts. (Especially other non-Muslim writings)

  5. If someone has any objection on one of the posts, they can start another thread for it.

BUT then again it’s just some suggestions. Or an effort on my behalf …

Humanity First! Though I give you the right to disagree …

Yeah, easy questions of “islamic trivia” were easy and thread was a very successful. People showed us how knowledgable they were about the basic issues about Islam, this is even easier.

And say: “Truth has (now) arrived, and Falsehood perished:for Falsehood is (by its nature) bound to perish.”
(Quran, Al-Isra, 17:81)

One of the “niyat” behind such threads are that sometimes just a verse from Quran makes us realize that we are not doing something in our lives that we should.

Yes, I am guilty of not taking care of my parents as I should.

And so I started the post, so may others realize too!

And definite references are not necessary. Please do contribute if you remember something good from the traditions of the Holy Prophet.
