The name of the company, that is expected to blow over it’s competitors, is Oneplus. The model of the phone they are releasing is called “One”.

They’re entering the market with, what seams to be, a pretty awesome phone. Their philosophy is “Never Settle”… “Never Settle’ is about understanding our users’ root problems and making the best product decisions to solve them. It’s not about tipping the scale towards one extreme end, but rather finding how to create the best day to day experience.”

Below are a few basic specs:

Color(s): 16GB = Silk White/ 64GB = Sandstone Black
How ever, replaceable backs are to be released soon.

OS: Android 4.4 (CyanogenMod 11S)

RAM: 3 GB LP-DDR3 @1866MHz

Storage: 16 or 64 GB (available capacity varies)

So… Seems like every other new phone? Right…?

WRONG!!

This awesome company is entering the industry and stating they’re ok with making absolutely NO profit.
What do I mean?

Well… Here are the prices…

:hayaa: WHAT?! Yea.. That’s right… $299 for the 16 GB, and $349 for the** 64 GB**!!! :hayaa:

These are not prices after activation. This is buying the phone outright.

Unfortunately, the company didn’t expect the sales/ demand they got… So the 64 GB is out of stock (no shocker).
Also, even if they were in stock,* currently*, you can only buy a phone if you’ve received an invite… Either from the company by winning their contest (which is over, 100 winners), or from someone who has bought the phone (because they received an invite).

I have been waiting for this phone. Comes with CyanogenMod ROM built right in.

ah man. They dont just let you buy a phone. Here is the faq from there site:

They only have the 16 GB right now. 64 GB will come in later June.

  1. Why should it matter how old the company is when the specs are excellent and the OS is open source?
  2. New companies are the ones that need your money more, not companies like Samsung, who spent $14-freaking-BILLION on marketing in 2013. That’s more than the GDP of some countries.

I agree, but from experience I know that initial versions are always buggy. I'll wait for at least a model, and let them earn my money :D

This company cut their cost down tremendously by having virtually no marketing costs... so I think it's pretty safe to assume the product has been tested/ run/ tested again and should be "bug" free :D
