I saw the promos for it on Asian Variety Show and really wanted to see it but have not gotten a chance the past few days.
From the reviews, it seems to be really good. Wish I could see it.:bummer:

I read the book but haven't watched the movie yet.
I didn't like the book very much. It was an alright story in my opinion, nothing spectacular.

I haven't seen the movie, but I have read the book. Though I liked the book, I think her short stories (Interpreter of Maladies) are much better. The characters in the novel aggravated me at times, and I finished the novel feeling distanced from them and disappointed in them (but not really in the novel).

Yeah, one of my colleagues loves it and incorporated into the curriculum of one of our classes. I'm not sure how it's going to go over with them.

Also, I think, if done well, this could make a very nice film.
