Sometime in distant years when we are grown
Gray-haired and old, whatever be our lot,
We shall desire to see again the spot
Which, whatever we have been or done
Or to what distant lands we may have gone,
Through all the years will never have been forgot.

Nobody can come close to Connery in his personification of the Bond character. Nobody.
Moore came close....but was too "nice".
Dalton sucked and CM is right, Brosnan was a wuss the first time, improved a bit on the second attempt but leaves little hope of improving enough to challenge Connery or Moore on his third and last attempt.
Who next? Hmmm....Harrison Ford....maybe, but he's typecast as the rugged, unpolished type from his work as Indian Jones and would likely have a tough time making the transition.
Who else? One of the Baldwin boys? Dunno.....maybe Alec.
How about Ed Norton? Talk about a change eh?

Muzna: I agree with your assessment completely however the difference between Connery and Moore is much greater than between Morre and Brosnan. (dalton just period)
I think Ralph Fiennes and Jude LAW could make excellent Bonds.
how bout Jude Law, he did a great job in ememy at the gates…i thik he’d be a good bond…even colin farell from harts war, he may be alrright…heres an interesting link i found regarding the subject…

In Patriot Games?? Yeh!
I was born with a defective eye ;-)
Also in 'Clear and Present Danger'.
Point being, he has portrayed suited-booted, neck-tie wearing super sleuth before. Will that make him a good Bond...? Don't know.

it think he's to old, and really doesnt have that "bond" look, just a personal opinion tho...
Dalton was a cool Bond. chiselled face, piercing eyes, he looked macho, not like 'wussy' looking Bronson!
btw, forget about Baldwin, Ford being Bond, Bond has to be English, or at least close enough like Scottish,Irish, not a bloody Yank!!!

I think he’s still to tied up with his Indiana Jones figure…
A good james Bond would be Val Kilmer

Kilmer is a good idea. But only because the Batman role was dark and mysterious enough to set him up for it. On his own merit, I don't know.
How about Clooney?
Forget the guy having to be an Englishman...accents can be developed quite easily these days.
Apparantely Robbie Williams is a a hot favourite for the new Bond, traditionally Bond is always played by an english actor so I can't see them breaking that tradition and giving it to a hollywood guy.
Sorry for being late, but this belongs in Shore Sharaba.
Regards,
Pierce will do one more Bond movie after this, according to him...
As for the replacement, I couldnt think of any, but Clooney, like someone here said, would be really good as Bond...
