I wonder what would they think/comment about a person whose last name is ‘butt’ which is kinda funny/inappropriate word…
any experience here to teach me what happens actually? whan a Butt sb from lahore goes to London and they see his documents and talk with him referring butt again n again??
is it weird or not?
Re: the name Butt and its implications in englishspeaking country..
It would obviously be weird for the goras because, in their language, butt means something completely different than what it means in urdu. Wasn’t there a huge fuss over the name Dixit too a few weeks ago?

Dear unedumacated desis..
Butt is a name in England as well. A very famous football player had the last name butt, Nicky Butt. Many other famous non-desi ppl with the last name Butt as well.

There were a couple of Butt's in my high school. Other students made fun of their names at first, but they stopped cause the guy (butt) took the jokes very lightly and didn't really get bothered by all the mocking.

O c’mon Although it aint a very common surname in west but am sure you must have seen/met a western BUTT wandering here and there on some point in time !
there was an English cricketer Henry Rigden Butt Aka Harry Butt ( I presume he wasnt spelling it as hairy butt all of his life ) then we had Isaac Butt , who was an Irish barrister, politician, Member of Parliament (MP), and the founder and first leader of a number of Irish nationalist parties.
and c’mon lads dont you know Pâmela Butt ?
Nyah i aint talking about the scenario of Pamela Anderson getting married to Some Pakistani kashmiri Butt and as a loyal desi wife calling herself Pamela Butt .. That miracle hasn’t happened yet ..

Dick is also a very common name in the west, especially in the UK and Northern Ireland, but that is not going to stop people from associating the surname with the male genitilia.
