yeah but its not just muslims who are disliked, cathlics, jews, hindus, all get it, same for all races, so there is some level of prejudice against everyone BY everyone at any given time.

u know, there are ppl who would need any lil thing to start hating, and there are ppl who can read the worst propoganda and not hate. Now add to it a fact that the idiots amongst our midst do provide a lot of propoganda fodder.
Is the media biased, for sure, but even with all that , we dont see the sort of religious hatred seen in Iraq for example.

The void is felt in many ways, like you said in your post that government is involved in wrongly accusing and prosecuting Muslims just shows that there is void present in the United States. People come to help because they know the person, majority see Islam as a violent religion. This kind of behavior and labeling is never seen when other religions and ethnic groups are brought up.
I have faced discrimination from United States government and so have you when you were getting fingerprinted by U.S Custom. With me they always say, “You are nice guy but what I can do it is law”. I mean if majority disagree with these numerous prosecution than why are they present?
There was a gathering in our city where Muslim women spoke about how they get targeted for wearing a veil in public. Some harassment to annoyance that is mainly because people find out that by wearing a veil she is a Muslim. Many Sikhs have been wrongly accused and prosecuted because they have a beard.
If you think in past five years, every Muslim in America knows or has a friend/ family member who have been prosecuted wrongly by government or have faced harassment from average American and most of these Muslims live in cities like Chicago, Los Angels, Detroit and New York.
I do not see them as racists, I know many of them and when ever I try to explain that things are not as such, they always bring violence being associated with Islam and Muslim, which they do never with any other religion. Now you tell me that where you think Majority do not have void or hate/ fear of Islam in America.
