thats such an arbitrary place to draw the line. why not unity in mammalhood?

Last I looked, we were all human beings.
One identity doesnt preclude another. I presume you have a circle of friends and family, then you have a particular society you are a part of. As group identities go, humanity is pretty much down the list.
doesnt mean its not on the list somewhere ofcourse.
