The Most Shocking thing

Re: The Most Shocking thing

Had a loaded gun pointed at my head by a robber, never had such a shock before.

Re: The Most Shocking thing

Yesss..the one that you liked to hit all the time :cb:

  1. For me the most shocking thing was when I was about 7yrs old we had a lot of bad things happening in Sri Lanka…and we were on the way to the airport to pick up my dad and there were bodies lined down the road every 10meters or so, and they had been burnt alive with tires around them..and some of them the smoke was still rising and the stench was just BAD  - I remember I got dizzy and felt like throwing up :hinna:

  2. Then when I was 8yrs old I woke up to find that my father had been taken in by the army for questioning  Mom was not with us at that time too..so when I woke up that morning my father was not there, only some family friends who lived very close to us, so I guess they came as soon as they heard it coz they knew I was alone. My father came back only in the evening!!! They were taking all young men in at that time and they took them to the grave yard!!!

  3. This one was before my father came back home…Me and my mom lived alone, I was maybe 6yrs and some jack asses from our army thought it would be funny to come into our house in the night..ofcoz they came in for questioning..but once they saw that there was only a woman with a child they started playing mind games with my mom..and pointed the machine gun at my mom while I was sitting on her lap!!! then they said " If you need any help let us know" (ofcoz he totally meant something else). Luckily my mom phoned her friend who knew the army general at that time the general was inthe area..and the guy got his ass court martialed!! :snooty: (I only remember the gun being pointed at us..It was mom who later told me exactly what happened).

Re: The Most Shocking thing

Islam main nazar maaf hai nazara nahin

Re: The Most Shocking thing

This reminds me of a funeral during Ramadan when we went to see the family in the middle of the day. They were serving tea/food like any ordinary day, family is understandable but it didn't look like any of the distant relatives or friends/other guests were fasting either. It just looked like some dawat with chai sessions and chit-chatting.

Re: The Most Shocking thing

Re: The Most Shocking thing

why did army questioning to your dad?

Re: The Most Shocking thing

They were questioning all young men...it did not matter to them whether someone was involved in anything or not...a lot of young guys "disappeared" in SL at that time....there was some kind of revolution spreading..so the president at that time wanted to crush it...and they did!

Re: The Most Shocking thing

ok.
