Teens ? You dont sound in love, definetly not.
Sympathy is a basic human emotion, you have it for someone you feel sorry for, someone in trouble or going through a rough patch. Is your boyfriends friend going through a hard time ? If not then why feel sympathy for him.
You cannot LOVE someone and then start liking someone else unless you fall out of love with the first one or donot love the first one in the first place. I think you are young and confusing love with liking or some other smaller emotion. Love makes you wait, makes you love the other even more if you havnt seen them for a while.
