Re: The most Painful Indian Cricket Defeat in ODIs for the Indians
u guys dont care about WC 2003 final ????
not really man
aussies were unbeatable
i stayed up all night with friends and family till the last ball tho, we had fun
but didnt hurt so much for some reason
i remember a game vs pakistan in sharjah, where tendulkar did all the work as usual and the whole team collapsed with like 15 runs to win...that hurt as we won the game and next second we lost it...was pretty unrealistic...thats India couple of years ago...1 man team hahaha
Re: The most Painful Indian Cricket Defeat in ODIs for the Indians
87 Semi Final..When pak was out one day before this game, most of indians almost thought worldcup was ours and then We lost to ENG. It was nightmarish.
Re: The most Painful Indian Cricket Defeat in ODIs for the Indians
Well 86 i wasn't even born, so who cares?
96 World Cup Semi-final. India chasing 251, 98-2 or 98-1 something like that. Tendulkar killing with good run rate chase, all of sudden he gets out stumping very very close, keeper picked ball from grounds and stumped him. and then i see India 120-8 ppl throwing bottles, burning stadium. It was worst defeat ever
Re: The most Painful Indian Cricket Defeat in ODIs for the Indians
I agree, that match against Sri Lanka was more shameful rather than painful. but then Calcutta crowds are known to be shameless bunch of freaks...they will never learn...but the wc final was sad...i got so pissed off, i actually cut off hte cable wire hahah
Re: The most Painful Indian Cricket Defeat in ODIs for the Indians
WC 2003 was not painful - I never expected them to overwhelm the aussies
SemiFinal 87 - very painful - English had worked out the Indian bowlers and came into the match with strategy - gooch swept Maninder Singh and nullified him...Then started Indian innings and got the jhatka when Foster took Gavaskar off - Sadly enough this was Gavaskar's last match and crowd did not have decency to cheer him off ( i think so)
