And I think the association had a pretty good idea this year would be a bust compared to previous years, which is why they tried to insert the shocking duo of Eminem and Elton John to draw some cheap rating score.
And I dont care how gay you are, you never, i mean never wear a yellow suit with pink polka dots, Elton!
Yes..i stayed up so late to watch the so much talked about duo, to my disappointment, there was not a single mention of gay or mama’s juices in the song he sang. Enimem came across as a 3rd rated rapster (this was the first time I ever heard him sing). There are much better rap artists around than he is. Elton played nice organ (not that) but I don’t agree with Akif about his dress – it was much better than some of his earlier dresses and what’s wrong with yellow and pink polka dots? Now, I have to return the shirt that I got as a birthday present. Rom, next time, please no pinks for me.
NYA, if you haven't heard his other music or his whole album, please don't say he's not talented!! I think he's amazing and deserves every award he won!! He is definitely very good at what he does!!
I rather enjoyed the Grammies but Nsync could have sung a vibier song which involved dancing. U2 - good as alwayz!
But, I was hoping to see Sisqo, Chilli Peppers, Jay Z get awards--> Big pimpinnn!!
Cat-woman. You are right, but after all that hoopla surrounding the event, I was expecting him to be some talented (on the lines of Handrix, Zapa, Dylan, etc.). I am not very familiar with the Rap music hence my ignorant comments. I am sure he is talented at what he does and deserves what he was given. My apologies. I am an old hippie and I don’t appreciate much the young artists. These days anyone with a throat comes out and starts singing regardless of giving any attention to the rhythmic and melodic content of music making. I am a rock and roll kinda guy. My apologies again. How the hell do they now roll their Js? I still have old LPs, but what do young people do? CD cover is too little and I doubt that it has the same affect.
Oh that's okay, I guess I am really into rap, hip-hop and rnb, but my tastes are quite diverse.
Are you sure you didn't mean 'Hendrix'? hehe Golden oldies always rock! Those are classics and your LPs are probably quite valuable 'antiques' now! My friend's dad has one of Jimmy Hendrix's amps - the original!! And he'll probably be selling it for millions...
Oh, and I didn't like the way Elton John sang the part of Dido...it sounded so wrong.
Well the Grammy's were not the excitement this time.. just a dull show.
Oh about the Eminem thing, well as you know the controversy is over homosexual's. Usually the press will make a big deal out of it, since in some of Eminem's songs you can hear him making fun of gays.
Anyways, Eminem's reputition was going down, so like always in the music industry, the star has to go back up.
They made him sit in front of the Homo George Michael, and perform with Elton John.
Funny part is when a artist says something, everyone makes a big deal out of it. I'm 100% sure Eminem still hates Homo Sexual's.
See that's why Eminem is releasing a new album so soon, in March or May, and kept on saying it over and over again. (He needs to publisize himself on the good side again).
Hey.. the same happened with many people like LL Cool J, Wu Tang Klan, etc.
It'll be forgotton in a few months.

The Grammys weren't too lacklustre, they looked pretty shiny, well polished and waxed in their winners' hands. It was the show that was pretty rubbish in some respects.
Cat-woman, as good as sisqo might be, he probably wouldn't get votes from the academy, people's choice, viewer's choice etc. is where he'd score.
agree agree, the pairing of Eminem and Elton John was well thought out, controversy nuff to get some quick sales, trigger an already sold-out uk tour and get ppl to notice his upcoming stunt with D12.
I think it wasn't a complete disappointment though, Moby and Jill Scott did a good version of Natural Blues; and North American folk music was given some good recognition.
The only thing I was interested in seeing was Mobey and Blue Man group … did any one have seen Blue man group before ? … if not very highly recommended… based out of Chicago they perform in other cities … I have seen them few times and they are a SHOW! .. I am not into grammys but love to see live performances.. the live performance have to be different from what you have on the album .. collaborations (i.e blueman group and mobey) and presentation is the key to a live show… U2 was very ordinary … the rest was usual (although I saw only few performances) … Blue Man Group have their cd out .. awesome and very innovative music … but I dunno if its available out of Chicago
Hey one more thing
These things are hard to explain
For some it seems strange... to swallow
The frontier of our minds
Is the last place we find
But maybe the first place we should go
