I am quite sure that those women could kick the butts of most men :) But that being said...I really think its a bad idea to have women fighter pilots. Not that they are incapable or anything....far from it. But if you stand back and take a look, its only natural that the guys will want to look out for them a bit more perhaps. This is not the best idea when its fighter pilots we're talking about yeah? Women soldiers, nope I dont agree. Men are hunter/warriors and women are hearth and home developers. I'm sure I'll get all kinds of sheet for saying that but its a firm belief of mine.
I'm quite surprised at you DL, for your admiration of these fighter gals....pleasantly so because it shows you DO have a little flexibility in your views...I just think its a little misguided. Yes, they look tough, smart, beautiful, determined. But its not where they belong.
Dont get me wrong...I dont think that every woman should be at home raising their kiddies. Some women are very capable of raising beautiful, upstanding children while handling a career. These are women to be admired. I personally am not one of those - I know that I can be good at my career or I can be good at mommy-hood but I know I cant do both. Its a matter of knowing yourself, your abilities and limitations.
But fighter pilot? No, it doesnt go. IMHO. As "Mammy" said in Gone with the Wind, "It ain't fittin'. It ain't FITTIN' is just ain't FITTIN'!"
