All this talk about Masjid vs Temple vs Nothing there, is just an eye-wash.
The real question is do you believe that Meraj was a physical journey or a spiritual journey. I believe that it is a physical journey and that Allah is not limited by laws of physics for something He wants to do. Those who believe it was only spiritual, are free to believe whatever they want to or chose to, in this matter. There is no compulsion in Islam, anyway. And those who believe that Meraj never took place, well... same to you ... choose whatever you choose to believe. After all, its just a matter of faith. I don't ask jews to prove that Moses opened the Red Sea, either.
You are taking lines from my post and using them out of context. We are not talking about Who built which Mosque, it is whether mosque existed during the time of the prophet as it says in Quran and above mentioned Hadith. And, The mosque did not exist during the time of Muhammad simply becaus there were no muslims in Jerusalem.

Asked and answered by me already... which some mod in his/her wisdom seems to have deleted?... and you were the one who introduced the topic of "who built which Mosque" when you questioned the time difference between the building of the Kabah and Masjid al Aqsa... remember now? So it's not me who is taking your words out of context... the actual problem is that you can't seem to remember the context in which you are writing... one hand doesn't know what the other is typing...
