The Mind of Shahid Khan Afridi

Re: The Mind of Shahid Khan Afridi

great piece faisal...nice work!
dont blame me for the following message in this page but i feel it is as true as the greatness of his talent...
for all the great batting he is capable of doing, he really does need to get more consistent. the long standing excuse that ..."oh he shines when he shines" is just not good enough when we talk of international cricket. its good that he is appreciated for his talent because there is a lot more still to be done from his part to really make use of his full potential.
because if we look back at all the players we can remember of and call them legendary batsmen is because they could be relied upon when there was a need...at least at some point in their careers....some during the start of their careers while some during the middle or the end.
i admire afridi's batting as much as anyone else, but i still will stick my neck out and say that to call him a legend there still is a long way for him to go. ]
Is he one of a kind....ABSOLUTELY yes
Is he a legend.......unfortunately, not yet.

PS: again i must remind you all, i dont mean to undermine afridi, but i would prefer it if he became more trustworthy with his bat and not just be a once in a blue moon sorta guy.
