As rumors wil always suggest, Sarfraz Nazwaz used the reverse swing for the very first time back in late 70s when he took 7 Australian wickets for just 1 run (86-9 in total) to win the match for Pak. From then Pakistani bowlers have ever used reverse swing as a ‘hidden weapon’ in some form or the other to demolish their opponents. It took over 10 years for Pakistan to have the real Master of reverse swing. Waqar Younis was the first and perhaps the last fast bowler who mastered every aspect of reverse swing and made it as deadly a weapon in cricket as nuclear weapons are in real World. Before him no one had ever delivered reverse swing at that pace.
Outside Pakistan reverse swing was never considered as a technique. People even blamed Pakistani bowlers to tamper the ball to get unusual swing. Many commentators and writers still doubt the technique. This thread is initiated to know your views and experiences (as most of us must have played cricket at some stage) about reverse swing. It has nothing to do with fast bowlers, just discuss the technique and why it was never accepted outside Pak, and share your personal experiences about it.
