So basically, this is a Pakistani family in eastenders. All played by Indian actors, but still.

Agreed! She looks so much better than she did in Bride and Prejudice too! All the men in my family keep trying to climb into the tv when she comes on!

I don't watch it although I switched the TV a bit ago and she was in the bathrobe. NOICE! haha

They used to be alright. Some good storyline like Yusef dying in the fire, but I hate how un-Pakistani thy are at times, like Zainab sharing a room with Masood even though they are not actually married. And AJ, Ayesha, Syed, Shabnam, even Tamwar have all drunk alcohol without thinking twice. Can't the writers think of storylines that don't involve drinking and affairs all the time. I am sad that Zainab is leaving though.

Re Ayesha - she was just a plot device to facilitate Zainab's exit. She's meant to be younger than me but the actress playing her is 37 and looks older than the character's age, and her hitting on a man old enough to be her father is cringeworthy. Glad she is leaving.
