a man chair is an important part of the house, it can include la-z-boy recliner, barcalounger, easy chair, highback arm chair etc.
Now usually the ladies dont like those things, because it does not fit with the highly impractical but pretty furniture that sits in most people’s living rooms..which dont get used much either anyways..
also, when u do get a man chair, guess who wants to sit in it all the time.. umm hmmmm yeah..
so all dudes should have a man chair, and should place it wherever the hell they want, best place is in front of a TV but it can be in a study as well, since it usually prevents from certain others, who shall remain unidentified..to take over the chair.
I practice what I preach, and among my prized possessions is a vintage walnut eames lounge chair in my study. and yes, it rocks..
I hate chairs, and prefer to be seated cross legged in the traditional fashion somtimes on a raised. It is not an opinion I expect others to share, however it is a lot better to be seated in this manner as it is the way we have seated ourselves from the earliest of times.
In Pakistan the whole fammily would sit together on the ground and eat together... in the UK I have not changed either and people are happy. Surely for those who cannot sit I dont mind providing chairs but it has not been required yet. :)

I fully endorse this message... what's even better is to get your wife to buy the chair for you on your birthday knowing fully that she's buying you something that is "really" "for you" and not something she can share since it's in the study - i.e. your domain :D: evil laugh
I just got what I wanted an eames lounge chair, which sits in my study, and rightly so, because it can be seen from the glass doors but not used, especially by people who have dropped by, although my kids love to sit on it too, which I cant say no to.
as long as ladies who are volunteering the toilet as man chair are volunteering themselves to be footrests as well, i suggest they go back to their makeup and darzi thread.
kitni jalti hain if a man just wants to have one nice thing for himself.
so my brethren...share your perspectives on the man chair :)
