It seems lately there has been a lot of conflict between the residents and non residents so why not discuss the things that bring us together, rather than draw us apart.
We still have a lot more common than not (IMO).
For NR Pakistanis, what is it that you miss about Pakistan or things that you like about it?
For Resident Pakistanis, what are things about the west that you like?
Re: The light hearted Resident and NR Pakistani’s are all cool and should get along
What I like most about my visits to Pakistan:
The kisse/kahaniya!!! My relatives are always full to the brim with the most amazing tales/stories/gossip of the latest supernatural/occult/marriage/divorce/birth crazy stories of someone’s nani ki parosan ki beti ki nand ki devar…I literally could sit their for hours hearing the going ons of everyone’s life!!!
The food/cafe culture…yes, I love, love, love going to the latest “cool/trendy” cafe/restaurants. Even better are the tikka/botis from the dhabbas And the Chinese food…omg…Pakistani Chinese is the best!
chilling on the verandas/rooftops with my cousins and their friends
how friendly everyone is…all you have to do is casually mention you need something/want something/have to go somewhere or do something…family/friends go out of their way to help out/accommodate
The early morning sukoon of Karachi before the city wakes up.
Shopping..shopping…shopping…did I mention the shopping?
