Cena lost his WWE Championship at ECW One-Night Stand June PPV against Rob Van Dam. The latter, however, has now been stripped off the belt due to his recent arrest on the Ohio interstate on the charges of speeding and drug violation. Edge, on the other hand, is the current title-holder, and rumors have started to fly that he will continue to have a long-term program against Cena throughout the summer.
DX, you asked, is expected to come to an end at Summerslam (in a McMahons vs. DX - A two-on-two match). Albeit a brand new mother of a baby doll of 4 days old, Stephanie has pushed her idea to extend this program past Summerslam. We will have to wait and see on the final verdict.

hey listen man....i think you are mistaken. WWE championship was supposed to be fought between cena and RVD. Where were these guys. Batista lost to that freak Kennedy...!!!??...mate i lost it. and that Punjabi prison match, as you said, i think was to be fought b/w Khali and UT. What was Big Show doin there.
WWE sucks man..! i was a die hard fan of this sport during WWF days, the days of real wrestling.

WWE Championship is on RAW, and is defended on RAW PPV's only. Great American Bash is a Smackdown only PPV, hence the reason why the World Heavyweight Championship was defended by Mysterio, only to see the title switch to Booker T at the end of the night.
Cena/RVD was the main event at ECW's One-Night-Stand June PPV this year, where Cena lost the belt to RVD. As pointed out above, the latter was stripped off the title which is now in the hands of Edge.
Last-minute injuries to two superstars forced them to miss out at the Great American Bash - Khali and Super Crazy were originally set to appear. Big Show and Matt Hardy were their ultimate replacements as both lost in the end to Undertaker and Gregory, respectively.

BREAKING NEWS! Hulk Hogan Injured; Possibly Off SummerSlam
The following is from WWE.com:
On Friday, the WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon, received an urgent phone call from Hulk Hogan.
Hogan said that there’s a possibility that he has a cracked meniscus, which in turn could possibly prevent him from appearing on RAW this Monday night in Memphis, next week’s RAW in Charlottesville and even SummerSlam.
Hulk Hogan had an MRI tonight at a Miami hospital to determine the extent of the injury which is in his right knee (his good one). Doctors will examine it over the weekend.
"It started about two weeks ago, like a toothache," Hogan said, "the joint on the outside of the knee. I was complaining to my son Nick that it was killing me all the time. I have been on the road with my daughter Brooke and haven't been able to work out my legs like I should."
Hogan added: "Yesterday, I did a couple of leg exercises at a gym. When I got home, I sat on my new couch and it was like sitting in a hole. When I got up, it sounded like a snap, an explosion in the kneecap. I can stand and walk a bit, but its hard for me to sit and get up and down the stairs."
Hogan was despondent that he might not compete against the Legend Killer Randy Orton. WWE.com reached Orton who is currently touring with the RAW roster in Australia.
When told about Hogan's sudden injury, Orton responded by saying, "Typical Hogan. I have been around the man since I was a child. It seems that every time he gets in a situation that he can't handle or if he gets in over his head, he blows out a knee or his back. Case and point, the old man (chuckling) blew out his knee getting up from the couch."
Hulk Hogan is arguably the greatest WWE Legend of all time, and if his injury prevents him from competing against Randy Orton at SummerSlam, there is no doubt he will see him sometime in the future.
Well.........only one urgent question. Summerslam is in two weeks. Who will Orton wrestle? Possible options?

I was in a state of shock as well. "There goes the main-event down the drain, and a possible boost in numbers", I said to myself.

This is indeed a major news leading into Summerslam. The rehabilitation period after the operation is generally six (6) weeks, give or take. Unforgiven, which will take place on September 17th from Toronto, is out of the question. The earliest at this point would be the Survivor Series. Orton/Hogan at Survivor Series on November 26th is looking as a possibility at this point.
But......opponents for Orton are badly needed for Summerslam. Stone Cold anyone?

Hulk Hogan does indeed have a partially torn meniscus in his right knee after getting the results of his MRI. Although, Hogan will not have surgery. At the moment, Hogan has has not committed to doing SummerSlam but he said that he'll make a decision on whether he can do the match or not later this week. Hogan relies on his right knee a lot when he wrestles and thus its not going to be easy for him to work around the injury should he decide to wrestle.
Hulk Hogan will not be at tonight’s edition of RAW, presumably because of the partial tear in his meniscus. While there is no confirmation that there is nothing more to Hogan other than an injury, several people have begun to speculate.
For those that do not remember, a couple years back, Hogan shot an angle for TNA and agreed to come in and wrestle Jeff Jarrett, but later backed out due to an injury to his other knee. Many in TNA felt that Hogan used the injury as a scapegoat because he didn’t like the way the match was planned to finish.
Remember that this is nothing more than speculation and the only thing that we can confirm at this point is that Hogan does have a knee injury, and will not be at RAW tonight.
We can, however, confirm that Hulk Hogan told Vince McMahon that he would let him know whether or not he'd be able to work SummerSlam by the end of the week.

Okay while I know this is a late reply I jus wann'ed to answer the wrestling threads..
I saw Summerslam in karachi during my summer vacation, Hogan won.. Orton pinned Hogan after an RKO but his leg was found on the rope and the referee after some quarelling with Orton made his decision.. Hogan then proceeded to--you know, do Hulkmaniacism...
the funny part is that after the Foley-Flair bloodfest the electricity went out!
