What is this? I’ve been told that its the book which contains all the events which will transpire from the creation of the world to the end of it, and that only God has access to it…but all this is pretty hazy to me. More information would be welcome.
Re: The Lauh-e-Mehfooz
Loh-e-Mehfooz/kitaabum Maknoon/Umm ul Kitaab
these are all the names mentioned in Quran given to the same book .. A book that contains EVERYTHING, even Quran is from that book.
Re: The Lauh-e-Mehfooz
^^ Interesting, this is new to me. Thanks for the explanation.
Re: The Lauh-e-Mehfooz
Teaser,
Here's another interesting Topic for you.
In Hadis-e-Kudsi it is stated that, Allah says, “My Mumin Banda ( True Believers) get closer to me through their Nafal Ibadat and I honored them with my friendship. When I treat someone as my friend ,I grant him my Noor on all parts of his body . So his all activities is actually guided by me. So knowledge of such man become great/noble knowledge. Because who is nourished and brought up under the guidance of Allah, his heart becomes store house of mystery of Allah.
Hallo my Banda (Man)! If you want to know that then you follow the quoted affairs.”
Re: The Lauh-e-Mehfooz
bd_syed sure its interesting and thanks for posting but ustaad I don't think I can achieve this. I need to clean my sins first...well Ramadan's last 10 nights are approaching and I guess is the best time to get clean. :)
Re: The Lauh-e-Mehfooz
the actual word is LAWH (and not lawh-e-mahfooz)....
mehfooz is also commonly used in the urdu language and i think we all know it means protected/preserved....
lawh means tablet....
Re: The Lauh-e-Mehfooz
^
in Quran it's Lawhim Mahfooz (lawh as you spelt)
Re: The Lauh-e-Mehfooz
its actually "fee lawhim mehfooz" (which means "in the LAWH, protected)....
Re: The Lauh-e-Mehfooz
^
my understanding of Arabic tells me that "fee" means "is" in arabic..
like Maa fee or Laa fee = NaheeN haY
fee lawhim Mahfooz means it is in the the protected book.
correct me if I am wrong.
Re: The Lauh-e-Mehfooz
"fee" means "in"
like: fee jannaatin khalidoon = in the heavens for ever
"ma fee alsamawaat" or "ma fee alardh" = what is heaven/ what is in earth
Re: The Lauh-e-Mehfooz
shukran
Re: The Lauh-e-Mehfooz
fee means “in”, armughals right..
Please show me the verse which says, “halo my banda”.
